Hotel Iceland is located in the picturesque village of Solang Nallah in Himachal Pradesh. Situated at an altitude of 8500 feet, Iceland is just a 13 km uphill drive from Manali..but once you reach there, you are transported into a different world, light years away from the hustle and bustle of the touristy Manali. Look out of the windows of the hotel, and you can see the meandering Beas river or snow-capped mountains, or pine forests, or lush green valleys ... take your pick... This of course is the summer view.. in winter everything is covered by a thick white snowy carpet...
Solang Nallah is known as the adventure capital of Himachal Pradesh, and with good reason - the Iceland hotel owners (experienced mountaineers themselves), can organise for you trekking, camping, mountaineering, paragliding, zorbing, rock climbing, rappelling, skiing and a host of other activities... see the "Adventure" link alongside . For those who want to curl up with a good book and do some sight-seeing on the side, all the comforts of home are available, check out the "Facilities" link.. No wonder Hotel Iceland is highly recommended by Lonely Planet..
